Hello! My name is Joseph Woodrow Stevens and this is my Blog. It's called Rabbits' Blog, because that was the name Mummy and Daddy gave me when I was still in Mummy's tummy. (Apparently Daddy's sister wanted to call my Daddy Rabbits when he was born!)

Anyway, Mummy and Daddy write stuff down here about me, 'cos they seem to think it's interesting. I just like all the pictures of me, 'cos I'm gorgeous! I hope you like what Mummy and Daddy have written here. Let them know if you do. They'd like to hear from you!

Lots of love and kisses!

Look at me!

Well, from being not remotely interested in standing on his own two feet our little man has changed overnight into the boy who wants to walk every where. I have to say it's a bit of a surprise but a very pleasant one. He is still very unsteady whilst holding just one hand but if he has a person to hold either side then he fair races along. Perhaps he does want to walk after all...

Nasty little so-and-so

Yes, this is what I called our boy in public today. I'm not proud of it.

There were mitigating circumstances though. He had just bitten me through my leather jacket and broken the skin on my arm. It jiggin' hurt! It's the second time recently that he's bitten me hard and he'd been gnawing on my fingers earlier in the afternoon. And to cap it all it was in the middle of Tesco. Still, he seemed to feel better afterwards so that's ok then...

Rice and chicken, oh my!

Yes, we have a breakthrough! Joseph has eaten rice and whole bits of chicken. I got fed up with trying to think of different ways to cook potato (fried, mashed, wedges, baked, in sticks, in patties etc.) and decided to try him again. I did him some pan fried chicken on Monday and he took to eating that so today I tried a sort of risotto with large chuncks of chicken and vegetable (another sticking point) so that he could handle them. It worked.

No one was more shocked than me. We've struggled to get him to eat lumpy food. He's fine with pureed food and with finger food but any thing in between was problematic and was spat out and thrown on the floor. So we kind of gave up for a while but this is a real step forward and has to be more interesting for the boy. Even I get fed up of potato some times.

Rabbits' Blog is a kinkyMachine website. Would you like a rice cake?
