Hello! My name is Joseph Woodrow Stevens and this is my Blog. It's called Rabbits' Blog, because that was the name Mummy and Daddy gave me when I was still in Mummy's tummy. (Apparently Daddy's sister wanted to call my Daddy Rabbits when he was born!)

Anyway, Mummy and Daddy write stuff down here about me, 'cos they seem to think it's interesting. I just like all the pictures of me, 'cos I'm gorgeous! I hope you like what Mummy and Daddy have written here. Let them know if you do. They'd like to hear from you!

Lots of love and kisses!

All eyes on Joseph

Joseph had his second retinopathy check today at the hospital. All went well and it seems that there is nothing terrible wrong with his eyes. They had to look at the blood vessels in the eye to check that they were growing properly as sometimes they don't in prem babies and untreated it can lead to blindness. They were running half an hour late so Joseph did really well to sit for an hour and a half without crying. I was so proud of him.

New development

Yesterday Joseph and I took Nanny and Grandad to the beach. Joseph was having fun in his sun tent (best invention out for little people and mummies with delicate skin) and as he was tired I laid him down on his back. He was playing with his new book that Grandad bought him when he managed to turn himself on to his side and then almost onto his tummy. This is a first for Joseph. Previously he had managed to get onto his side but not any further as his arm was in the way. Every new development for us is a wonderful thing especially as he was so early and could have had many problems.

A trip to the Zoo

Yes, I know he's not really old enough to appreciate the Zoo but Craig and I have loyalty cards and he gets in for free so we thought we would go. We spent a lovely afternoon there and Joseph was good as gold. He really liked the fish in the aquariums and was interested in the penguins but shortly afterwards he fell asleep and slept through the rest of the trip. He missed all of the big animals but we can see them another day. It at least gave him somewhere different to be and new things to look at. It didn't do us any harm either!

Rabbits' Blog is a kinkyMachine website. Would you like a rice cake?
